After his master’s degree in Chemical Engineering in Manchester, England (2007), Bertrand Belle worked on several projects including the design and implementation of a new social welfare system, the creation of a new revenue forecasting unit within the Ministry of Finance and the implementation of a PPP to lay the only submarine optic fiber cable between Seychelles and the coast of Africa. In 2013, he was appointed Principal Secretary for Economic Policy and Planning. Attended the Harvard Kennedy School of Government, graduated with a master’s in public administration in International Development in June 2015. In August 2015, Bertrand Belle was appointed as the Special Adviser to the Vice-President, and in October 2016, he was appointed Economic Adviser to the President.
